To begin Math Stars:
Launch the application by double clicking on its icon.
Online help is available from within the application by choosing Help from the Apple Menu.
Please Register this application. Registered users receive a code which will allow them to remove the Registration screens.
To Register:
1) select “About Math Stars 4.0...” from the Apple Menu after
launching the application.
2) Click the “Register” button.
3) Click the “Fill Out Form” button.
4) Follow the directions on the form.
WARNING: Math Stars 4 will read and upgrade the “MSNames” file in your system folder where the names are stored. After running Math Stars 4 do not replace the “MSNames” file with one created by a previous version.
Math Stars 4.0
is the latest version of this popular shareware program for practicing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts. Students who answer 10 of 10 questions in a round within the alloted time earn a gold star in the Player Screen. After earning 10 gold stars, a student's name is placed in the Hall of Fame.
Version 4.0 adds colorful 3-D buttons, graphics, sounds, and new user interface for a look and feel that students will love. More option choices make the program flexible and useful for a variety of age ranges. The addition of head-to-head competition and the Math Detective module, which challenges students to find factors and multiples within adjustable ranges of difficulty, make Math Stars 4 even more challenging and educational. Registered users range from elementary schools to high school math classes.
Time limits from 3 sec. to unlimited are available. The computer will select 2 random numbers for each problem or the lower number can be set for practicing specific facts. Users can select +, -, *, or / functions or random functions for a challenging round.
